Although The 4008-PRO-X is a Professional Soldering Station and was Manufactured for the Advanced or Professional User, the Features of this Soldering Station are Simple Enough to Understand and Program that an Amateur or Beginner will have No Problem Using this Unit. The Model 4008-PRO-X has two Temperature Displays on the LED Display (One for Setting the Temperature and the other Showing the Real Temperature), an Adjustable Sleep Timer (0 to 30 Minutes) with Auto Cool Down when it goes to sleep, is Celsius/Fahrenheit Programmable, a Mute/Unmute Function, and is Designed to be Anti-Static and ESD Safe.

This unit also Features a PID (Proportional-Integral-Derivative) Technology Program built into it which is commonly referred to as Magic Temperature Compensation Technology. This program cycles every 20 milliseconds to detect the actual temperature of the soldering iron's heating element/soldering tip and quickly corrects it with a rapid return to the correct set temperature. This Magic Temperature Compensation Technology also helps keep the soldering iron at a constant temperature no matter what type of job you are working on. This unit also has a Self Test Function with Full Intelligence on Over-Temps, Short Circuits, and Overloads.

Shown in the 1st Photo, the Complete 4008-PRO-X Soldering Station Kit Includes the 75-Watt Soldering Station (60 Watts for Soldering Iron &15 Watts for Mini Mother Board in Soldering Iron), a Detached Soldering Iron Holder that Houses a Brass Sponge Tip Cleaner, a Wet Sponge, and a Detachable Soldering Iron Cord Holder. Also included is a Heat Resistant 100% Silicone Tool/Parts Mat, 5 Extra Soldering Tips, an Anti-Static Grounding Wire for PCB Board, a Solder Sucker, a Roll of 60/40 Solder & Pinpoint Tweezers.

We used Highly Visible White LED's for the Display Screen on our 4008-PRO-X (shown in the 2nd photo above). You will be Pleasantly Surprised at how Easy it is to read the Numbers and Symbols on the Display. The Left LED shows the Soldering Iron's Set Temperature while the Right Display shows the Actual Temperature. You can also see the 2 Buttons used to Adjust the Temperature of the Soldering Iron. The Temperature Buttons also double as the Function Buttons that Control the Celsius/Fahrenheit Function, the Sleep Timer, and the Mute/Unmute Sound Function.

The On/Off Switch and Receptacles for the Power Plug, Grounding Wire, and Soldering Iron Power Cord are All located on the Back of the Main Power Unit (shown in the 1st photo above). We might mention that you are Really Going to Like the Soldering Iron Cord plugged into the back of this unit. That means you will Not have Any Cords coming out of the Front of the unit that will be in your way when you are working on a project!

In the 2nd Photo is the Detached Soldering Iron Holder showing the Soldering Iron Cord Mounted in the Cord Holder. Also included with the Soldering Iron Holder are a Brass and Wet Sponge. The Brass Sponge is Conveniently Housed inside the Holder in the Silicone Insert.

The 1st photo above shows the 5 Extra Sizes/Styles of Soldering Tips that also come with this unit. There is 1 of Each of the Following Sizes/Styles Included: 1 Each T-1, 1 Each T-B, 1 Each T-3C, 1 Each T-2.4D & 1 Each T-K. All Soldering Tips are manufactured from High Quality Copper and Coated with Nickel Chromed Alloys for Strengthening the Hardness of the Tips.

The 2nd photo above shows the Precision Tweezers that also comes with this Unit. These Pinpoint Tweezers are made of Stainless Steel that is Anti-Static with a Non-Magnetic Baked on Paint used on the Surface which is Resistant to most Acids and other Corrosive Substances.

The 3rd photo shows the included 50 gram Roll of 60-40 Tin Lead Rosin Core Solder Wire. This Roll of Solder fits Very Nicely on the Side Solder Roll Holder that is attached to the side of the Soldering Station.

The Heat Resistant Silicone Tool/Parts Mat that comes with our X-Tronic 4008-PRO-X Soldering Station (shown in the 1st photo above) measures 5-3/4" x 4-3/4".

There is also a Soldering Sucker Desoldering Pump included with this Complete Package (shown in the 2nd photo above). This Tool has a Good Bit of Suction and its Simple Design allows Easy One Handed Use with its Compact and Light Weight Design.

Although the X-Tronic 4008-PRO-X is ESD Safe, for further protection we have included an Anti-Static Grounding Alligator Clip (shown in the 3rd photo above). An Anit-Static Grounding Wire is a Safety Device used to channel Static Electricity to a Proper Ground while working on sensitive computer boards, mobile phone boards, etc. equipment or actually any PCB. Just plug it into the back of the soldering station and Clip it to the PCB you are working on.
