The X-Tronic 7040-PRO-X was Designed with a Compact "Small Footprint" in Mind, and While Being a 2-In-1 Hot Air Rework & Soldering Station this Unit is a Similar Size to Regular Soldering Stations. The Features are Simple Enough to Understand and Program that a Beginner will have No Problem Using this Unit Despite the Fact that it was Manufactured for Professionals. The Model 7040-PRO-X has two Bright White LED Temperature Displays for both the Hot Air Gun and the Soldering Iron. It features a Programmable Sleep Timer for the Soldering Iron (0 to 30 Minutes), an Auto Cool Down for the Hot Air Gun when placed in the Side Holder, a Programmable Celsius/Fahrenheit Program, and a Mute/Unmute for the Sounds (Beeps). Also Featured is a Calibration Function to Fine Tune your Temperature Output, & Prolong Heating Element Life.

This unit also Features a PID (Proportional-Integral-Derivative) Technology Program built into it which is commonly referred to as Magic Temperature Compensation Technology. This program cycles every 20 milliseconds to detect the actual temperature of the soldering iron's heating element/soldering tip and quickly corrects it with a rapid return to the correct set temperature. This Magic Temperature Compensation Technology also helps keep the soldering iron at a constant temperature no matter what type of job you are working on. This unit also has a Self Test Function with Full Intelligence on Over-Temps, Short Circuits, and Overloads.

Included with the X-Tronic 7040-PRO-X Complete Kit is the Main 775 Watt Power Unit, a 75 Watt Soldering Iron along with an attached Deluxe Soldering Iron Stand that has a Wet and Brass Sponge Tip Cleaner Enclosed in it. The Hot Air Gun is a 700 Watt Brushless Fan Type with an Auto Cool Down Function (for Safety) that Starts Automatically when placed in the Side Holder. Also Included is 4 Sizes of Hot Air Nozzles (2 Straight & 2 Spiral), 5 Extra Sizes/Styles of Soldering Tips, a Solder Sucker Pen, a Roll of 60/40 Solder, and Pinpoint Tweezers (all shown in the 1st photo above).

We used Highly Visible White LED's for the Display Screen on our 7040-PRO-X (shown in the 2nd photo above). You will be Pleasantly Surprised at how Easy it is to read the Numbers and Symbols on the Display. The Top Left LED Shows the Temperature of the Hot Air Gun, and the Bottom Left LED shows the Air Speed of the Hot Air Gun. The Top Right LED Shows the Set Temperature of the Soldering Iron, while the Bottom Right LED shows the Actual Temperature of the Iron. The Left Buttons Control the Temperature of the Hot Air Gun while the Center Buttons Control the Air Volume/Speed of the Hot Air Gun, the Buttons on the Right Controls the Heat of the Soldering Iron. The Buttons also double as the Function Buttons that Control the Celsius/Fahrenheit Function, the Sleep Function for the Soldering Iron, and the Mute/Unmute Sound Function.

The First Photo shows the Soldering Iron Resting in the Soldering Iron Holder. When placed in the Holder the Soldering Iron will go into Sleep Mode after a Few Minutes depending on the Number of Minutes the Feature is Set at. To take the Soldering Iron out of Sleep Mode simply Remove it from the Holder and the Soldering Iron will Quickly Ramp back up to the Temperature it was Previously Set at.

The 2nd Photo Shows the Hot Air Gun in the Side Holder. When Placed in the Side Holder the Hot Air Gun will Automatically go into Cool Down mode, blowing air until the Hot Air Gun is done Cooling. It will then go into Sleep Mode. To turn off Sleep Mode Simply take the Hot Air Gun from the Side Holder.

The 3rd Photo shows the Top and the Back of the 7040-PRO-X. The Main Power Switch is Located on the Top of this Unit and the Back has a Main Changeable Fuse, and the Plug and Play Connections for the Hot Air Gun and Soldering Iron.

The 7040-PRO-X comes with a 75 Watt Soldering Iron with a Very Comfortable Ergonomic Grip (shown in the first photo above). The Temperature Range of this Soldering Iron is 200°C~500°C/392°F~932°F with a Temperature Stability: ±/1.0°C/1.8°F.

The 2nd photo above shows the 5 Extra Sizes/Styles of Soldering Tips that also come with this unit (shown in the 2nd photo above). There is 1 of Each of the Following Sizes/Styles Included: 1 Each T-1, 1 Each T-B, 1 Each T-3C, 1 Each T-2.4D, and 1 Each T-K. All Soldering Tips are manufactured from High Quality Copper and Coated with Nickel Chromed Alloys for Strengthening the Hardness of the Tips.

The Hot Air Gun (shown in the 3rd photo above) that comes with this unit has a Brushless DC Fan Hot Air Delivery System in it that is controlled by the Air Speed Buttons along with a Heavy Duty Heating Element that has a Temperature Range of 100°C - 500°C/212°F - 932°F with a Temperature Stability of ±1.8°F/1.0°C and an Air Volume of 30L/M.

The 1st photo shows the included 50 gram Roll of 60-40 Tin Lead Rosin Core Solder Wire. This Roll of Solder fits Very Nicely on the Side Solder Roll Holder that is attached to the side of the Soldering Station.

The 2nd photo above shows the Precision Tweezers that also comes with this Unit. These Pinpoint Tweezers are made of Stainless Steel that is Anti-Static with a Non-Magnetic Baked on Paint used on the Surface which is Resistant to most Acids and other Corrosive Substances.

For your Convenience we have added a Soldering Sucker De-soldering Pump included with this Complete Package (shown in the 3rd photo above). This Tool has a Good Bit of Suction and its Simple Design allows Easy One Handed Use with its Compact and Light Weight Design.
