The X-Tronic Model 9060-PRO-X Digital 200 Watt Soldering Station is a Very Powerful “Quick Temp” Unit. The Tips are Hollow, Allowing the Ceramic Heating Element to be Much Closer to the Tip. Comparable Soldering Stations are Encased in a Collar, Meaning the Heating Element is Further from the Tip, Causing Much Slower Heating Times. This Unit is manufactured specifically to be used for Soldering Stained Glass. Yet, it's also an excellent soldering station to use with Medium to Heavy Gauge Wire.

This unit also Features a PID (Proportional-Integral-Derivative) Technology Program built into it which is commonly referred to as Magic Temperature Compensation Technology. This program cycles every 20 milliseconds to detect the actual temperature of the soldering iron's heating element/soldering tip and quickly corrects it with a rapid return to the correct set temperature. This Magic Temperature Compensation Technology also helps keep the soldering iron at a constant temperature no matter what type of job you are working on. This unit also has a Self Test Function with Full Intelligence on Over-Temps, Short Circuits and Overloads.

New Technology allows These Hollow yet Thick Tips (shown in the 1st photo above) to Heat very Quickly as the Heating Element is Right Next to the Tip. Comes with 4 Styles of Tips: 950 Knife (K Series), 950 Bevel (C Series), 950 Chisel (D Series), 950 Conical (B Series). Note that standard 900m tips will Not Fit this unit. Only the oversized 950 tips will fit this unit.
